The Resilience Expo is an initiative of the Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Transport of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (MUNV) and is supported conceptually, technically, and organizationally by a strong network of institutions, scientific bodies, and companies united by a shared vision:
Making climate adaptation visible – driving innovation – developing markets.
As a flagship project of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Resilience Expo combines regional engagement with an international outlook.

The Resilience Expo is initiated by:
Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Transport of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (MUNV)
As the initiator, the MUNV sets a strong signal for the development of the climate adaptation economy and supports the strategic direction of the Expo as a long-term platform.
Funded by the Federal Program STARK (2025–2027): Structural transformation in the Rhenish Mining Region
The Resilience Expo is funded through the structural transformation program of the Rhenish mining region. As a region in transition, the area is evolving into a key competence hub for climate resilience.
The STARK program of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action supports the economic transformation of structurally changing regions—such as the Rhenish mining region.
The Resilience Expo is part of this initiative, using it as a platform for structural and international cooperation.
